By downloading, installing, or using SpendVault, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SpendVault mobile application ("the App", "Service"), provided by SpendVault ("we", "us"). By installing or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using the App on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
2. License to use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on a device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except to the extent permitted by law.
- Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the App.
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its systems.
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices.
4. Data accuracy & your responsibility
SpendVault automatically parses transaction SMS using pattern matching and self-learning heuristics. While we strive for accuracy, parsing may occasionally be incorrect or incomplete. The App is an informational tool and not a substitute for your official financial records.
You are responsible for reviewing transactions and making any corrections. You should not rely solely on the App for financial, tax, or legal decisions.
5. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how your data is handled. The App is designed to process data on-device, and your data is not transmitted to our servers.
6. Disclaimer
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or accurate at all times, or that any parsing result will be correct.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall SpendVault be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or savings, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App.
Because the App is provided free of charge and processes data locally, our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the App (i.e., zero).
8. Third-party services
The App may interact with third-party services, such as Google Play Services and optional merchant-name lookup or crash-reporting services. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties. Your use of such services is subject to their respective terms and policies.
9. Changes to the app & these terms
We may update, modify, or discontinue the App, or any feature, at any time without notice. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time and uninstall it. Deleting the App and its data (see Data Deletion) terminates your use. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws of your jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
